Vegan Banana Sushi

This delicious banana sushi was an extremely spontaneous idea. Inspired by Pinterest, I got right in the car and bought the ingredients for the sweet sushi. If you are looking for a quick, healthy snack, then pay attention now!

What Is the Vegan Banana Sushi Made Of?

You don’t need much for this snack: bananas, wraps, spread, and a few toppings!

As a sweet spread I used my healthy Nutella. I personally like the combination of banana and healthy chocolate spread.

For example, you could also use some peanut butter as a spread. I imagine that also very tasty.

In addition, the toppings can be varied very well. I used walnuts, coconut flakes, sesame seeds and chopped almonds. Next time I will try cacao nibs as a topping, I imagine that also very tasty.

Vegan banana sushi: How to prepare the sub-10-minute snack

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl in the microwave.
  2. Lay out a whole wheat wrap. Smear the wrap either with the healthy Nutella or with a spread of your choice, e.g. peanut butter.
  3. Peel a banana and roll it into the wrap. You will probably have to cut off a little at the front and back so that the wrap gets the right “sushi shape”.
  4. Now pour the melted chocolate over the banana sushi (sparingly) and sprinkle with your toppings – e.g. walnuts, coconut flakes.
  5. Cut the sushi into 6 pieces and then you’re ready to enjoy!

Ingredients
 

  • 0.9 oz. dark chocolate 25 g
  • 1 wholemeal wrap
  • 1 banana
  • vegan chocolate spread/nut puree/healthy Nutella

Toppings

  • e.g. walnuts, coconut flakes, sesame seeds, chopped almonds

Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl in the microwave.
  • Lay out a whole wheat wrap. Spread the wrap either with healthy Nutella or with a spread of your choice, e.g. peanut butter.
  • Peel a banana and roll it into the wrap. You will probably have to cut off a bit at the front and back so that the wrap gets the right “sushi shape”.
  • Now pour the melted chocolate over the banana sushi (sparingly) and sprinkle with your toppings – e.g. walnuts, coconut flakes.
  • Cut the sushi into 6 pieces and then you can enjoy it!
