Peanut Butter Oat Bars

These Peanut Butter Oat Bars are super easy to prepare, vegan and taste just heavenly! The soft bars consist of a base of oatmeal, a caramel-like layer and a chocolate coating.

How To Prepare the Peanut Butter Oat Bars

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. For the base, first mix oat flour, date sweetener, coconut oil as well as peanut butter and some vanilla extract in a bowl and knead into a uniform dough.
  3. Now pour the dough into a small mold or onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread relatively flat on the bottom.
  4. Now bake for about 8–10 minutes.
  1. Meanwhile, already mix the second layer. To do this, simply mix peanut butter with a teaspoon of sweetener, e.g. maple syrup.
  2. When the dough is relatively firm, you can remove it from the oven and let it cool briefly. Now spread with the peanut layer.
  3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and then pour over the peanut layer. Now put in the freezer for about 15–30 minutes.
  4. Then cut into pieces. Done!

How Do I Store the Peanut Butter Oat Bars?

The best way to store the bars is in the refrigerator. Here I would store them in an airtight container.
