Fruity Granola 1

Fruity Granola

Today there is once again a granola recipe! I had a spontaneous desire for granola. This recipe is super easy and is ready in no time. Perfect for a healthy breakfast, which you can also prepare very well, so you no longer have to worry about your breakfast in the morning. Feel free to give it a try!

What Is Granola Anyway?

Granola is a muesli variant from the USA. The basic ingredients are oats, nuts / seeds, fruit and some sweetener or syrup. Meanwhile, however, there are so countless and creative variants. A special feature of granola is the baking of the ingredient mixture in the oven.

Refined with a little sweetness and in combination with nuts or seeds, it is often wonderfully sweet and crunchy. I personally love it as breakfast, mostly as a topping over my porridge or sometimes with (vegan) milk and e.g. a banana.

The homemade granola also has the great advantage that you know exactly what’s in it. Muesli from the supermarket is very often quite sugared and therefore no longer healthy at all. With the homemade version, you can decide for yourself how much sweetness you want to add.

Can Some Ingredients Be Interchanged?

Of course, the ingredients can be easily replaced. Of course, however, the basic ingredients should be given. However, the oats can certainly also be replaced by, for example, quinoa or buckwheat. This variant, however, I myself have not yet made, because I love oats too much.

Otherwise, however, fruits, nut butter, oil, etc. can be exchanged very well.

In only 4 steps to the fruity granola:

  1. Preheat the oven to 320 °F (160 °C).
  2. Put the ingredients in all in a bowl and mix. If necessary, add a little more water. However, the mixture should not be liquid!
  3. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the granola well on it.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Here you should make sure that it does not get too brown, because that can happen quickly.

How Can I Store the Fruity Granola and How Long Does It Keep?

I store the granola in an airtight jar. I also like to use old jam jars for this. That works great!

Then you can store it at room temperature for a few weeks. For me, however, a granola has never lasted longer than a week!
