Porridge With Roasted Apples

Porridge with roasted apple is the perfect start into a cosy autumn/winter day for me! Well warming, creamy and healthy. I also love the smell of roasted apples in combination with cinnamon and coconut oil. Hm…it tastes like baked apples and goes wonderfully well with autumn.

Porridge With Roasted Apple Is Full of Good Nutrients

As mentioned in my last porridge recipe, oatmeal is full of healthy vitamins and nutrients. Above all, they contain a lot of dietary fiber, which means that we stay full for a long time. So also a good recipe to lose weight!

But apples are also very good: they have a very high vitamin content and can even reduce cardiovascular diseases and the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Porridge with roasted apples is:

  • well-warming
  • creamy
  • sweet
  • vegan
  • simply delicious

The Instructions

Step One

Bring the oat flakes to the boil in a pot together with the soy drink, water and a pinch of cinnamon. Stir occasionally.

Step Two

Core the apple and cut into bite-sized pieces. Coarsely chop the nuts. In a bowl, mix together with a teaspoon of cinnamon and agave syrup.

Step Three

Heat the coconut oil in a pan. When the coconut oil has melted, add the apple-nut mixture to the pan. Fry until golden brown.

Step Four

Place the porridge in a bowl and cover with the apple-nut mixture from the pan. Done!
